| Wanda L. VanMeter, 68, of White Hall died early Sunday morning Nov. 4, 2007 at her residence. Born in Winchester on Jan. 27, 1939 she is the daughter of the late Loren and Anna Mae Glossop Parker. She married Bob VanMeter on Oct. 15, 1958 in Roodhouse and he preceded her in death on June 15, 1999. Surviving are 2 daughters: Judy (husband Kim) Malin and Anita (husband John) Garner both of White Hall, a son: Mark (wife Tiffany) VanMeter of White Hall, 7 grandchildren: Amber Clendenen, Cody Malin, Robert VanMeter, Seirra Bishop, Jeremy, Krista and Hope Garner, 3 great-grandchildren: Kwintin Garner, Jocelyn Krueger, Payton Henline, 3 sisters: Vera Kirkpatrick of Winchester, Norma Herrin of Pekin, Beulah Anders of Winchester, and a brother Wayne Parker of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a sister: Lois Zachary. Mrs. VanMeter worked at White House Manufacturing (Bunn) for 20 years retiring in 2001. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and an active member of W.M.U. Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. on Tuesday Nov. 6, 2007 at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 P.M. Wednesday at the funeral home with burial to follow in the White Hall Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Blessing Hospice of Greene Co. or the Greene Co.
