My thoughts and prayers are with all of you in these days. "Cuz'n John" and I had a lot of fun researching our southern Illinois Ford family tree together via e-mail/internet thru the years. Even though we never could find our way to all of the Ford fortune somewhere out there, we certainly had fun in our hunt and the jokes along the way.

I was sorry to hear of John's passing. I hadn't seen him for quite a while, but thought of him often, as we were classmates all through school. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

Grace, remember me as the cousin who was taking Kay on the Alaska trip back in 2000. I know John was a part of trying to make it happen. We've never met and it has been years since we had seen and visited with John. Always in different parts of the USA. We were saddened to learn of his death. Our sincere condolances to you and your family. It's hard to understand why people are taken from us, but find comfort in knowing you were a special part of a well-lived life. Hold on to your memories and let them guide you during this time of sadness. Memories are the legacy of love!

Grace and Family, Please know that you are all in our prayers. John and I worked together driving bus for Bellevue and we became good friends. After we left Bellevue we would have breakfast at least once a week and give the waitresses a hard time. I will miss John and our friendship. From the Big Man to John: Rest in Peace my friend. You will be missed!

I worked with John in sporting goods sales. He was always positive and upbeat. The kind of man who lights up a room when he walks in. John was also one of the most knowledgeable that I know of. He was an expert in his field and his opinion was valued and respected. John was a wonderful man. We all will sorely miss him, he was such a special person.

Dear Jean and Nancy, Sorry to hear of John's death. We had not heard anything about him in years, so didn't even know where he lived. You have our sympathy. We remember all of you children fondly, so many moons ago, next door in Waverly.

Dear Nancy & Jeannie, Tom and I were so sorry to hear about John's passing. He & I had reconnected about 4 1/2 yrs. ago and frequently emailed each other. (Mostly jokes from John) I had noticed the emails had stopped and I knew John had had surgery, but I didn't know he wasn't doing well. I will really miss him. My mother always told me that John was my "first love" back in the 3rd grade. My sympathies and prayers are with you all as you go through this difficult time.

John & I were in the same classes at Waverly Grade School from 3rd grade through 5th grade--long time ago! I've thought about him over the years & wondered what he was doing with his life--from his obit mentioning several family members, I'm sure he'll be much missed by many. My sincere sympathy goes out to all of you.
