| Joseph “Joe??? Russell Hicks, 39, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2010 near Chouteau, Oklahoma. He was the son-in-law of Larry and Sue Potter of New Salem, Il. Joe was born on June 20, 1970 in Pryor, Oklahoma, the son of Charles Russell Hicks and Carma Beatrice (Sisco) Hicks. He married Kelly Potter on June 19, 1993 at Sunrise Beach, Missouri and she survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Joseph Hicks, Dale Russell Hicks, Beatrice Hicks and Alysia Hicks all of Oklahoma; a brother, David and wife, Tammie of Jacksonville, IL; a step-brother, Leonard and wife Cheryl Charrier of Pryor, OK; two sisters, Teresa Stephenson and husband, Randall of Altus, OK and Tammy Hicks and Jed Jarvis of Pauls Valley, OK; two nieces, Carma Stephenson and Aerycka Hicks; his aunt, Connie Walker of Choctaw, OK and his uncle, Albert Sisco of McMinsville, OR; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Larry and Sue Potter of New Salem, Il.; and numerous other relatives and friends. Joe worked as an independent truck driver for B&S Trucking. Joe was a member of the Owner Operator Independent Driver Association, (OOIDA) He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing and camping. Joe loved his family. He will be so very missed by all who knew and loved him. Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Monday (January 25, 2010) at Gray Cemetery near New Salem, Il.
