| Ronald Buell Early, age 73 of Winchester, died Friday, January 22, 2010 at Passavant Hospital in Jacksonville. He was born May 4, 1936 in Haypress, the son of Gilbert and Neita J. Staats Early. He married Jane Powell on February 1, 1958 and she preceded him in death on Dec. 21, 1991. He later married Ruth Colvin Teaney May 3, 1997 in Winchester and she survives. He is also survived by two sons, Greg (wife, Brenda) Early of Winchester and Jay (wife, Brenda) Early of Roodhouse; one daughter, Kathy (husband, John) Simmons of Winchester; three stepdaughters, Becky Wright and Tammy (husband, Bryan) Cannon, both of Winchester and Debbie (husband, Andy) Hart of Glasgow; eight grandchildren, Dallas, Chelsea, Brandon and Logan Early; Nick Davidson, Joseph and Joshua Hamilton and Jacob Fundel; one great grandson, Aiden Fundel; step grandchildren, Tyler Ranson, Ashley Wright, Kurtis and Dalton Hart, and Hannah Cannon. Mr. Early graduated from Illinois College where he was on the track team. He worked at Mobil Chemical in Jacksonvile for 33 years. After retirement he worked at Green View Lawncare in Springfield and the Alsey brick factory in Alsey. He sold cars for Westown Ford in Jacksonville . In his later years he farmed in Greene and Scott Counties. He loved his Oliver tractors and was an avid collector of them. He was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church in Winchester Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010 at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall with burial at the White Hall Cemetery.
