| Delbert “Gene??? Hatcher, 80, of Winchester passed away late Friday night February 12, 2010 at the White Hall Nursing and Rehab Center. He was born December 19, 1929 in Glasgow the son of the late Clarence and Thelma Cumby Hatcher. He married Bethene Stokesbary April 9, 1986 in Winchester. Mr. Hatcher attended Glasgow Schools. He was a Truckdriver for many years. He had been a member of the Teamsters. Gene enjoyed life, he loved Cardinal Baseball, spending time with his grandchildren, playing cards, and was know as a practical joker. Surviving is his wife at home, his children Gary Hatcher , Danny (Genise) Hatcher both of Glasgow, Debbie (John) Marshall of Mt. Sterling, Karen (John) Palmer of Ft. Myers, FL, Barb Nash of Winchester, Jane Ann Hatcher (Brian McKinney) and Michael Hatcher all of Winchester. Step children, Gary (Twila)Northrop of Glasgow, Janet (Matt) Kirbach of Jacksonville, Rod Northrop of New York, Kathie Huson (Kenny Williams) of Virden, Mark Crain of Winchester and Amy Ford of Bellville. 28 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and a half sister Doris Frazier of Fieldon also survive. Preceding him in death was a daughter Diane Hoots(surviving husband Tom Hoots of Glasgow) a grandson Chris Hatcher, and a brother Richard “Dick??? Hatcher. Funeral services will be held at 1 PM Monday February 15, 2010 at the Coonrod Funeral Home in Winchester. Burial will be in Glasgow Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10 am until 1 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to the Winchester EMS.
