| Andrew M. Smith, 27, of St. Louis, and formerly of Jacksonville, died Sunday, February 14, 2010, in St. Louis. He was born July 3, 1982, in Jacksonville, the son of Mike and Tahni Davis Smith. He is survived by his mother, Tahni Smith of Jacksonville; one sister, Amy Smith of Jacksonville; paternal grandmother, Alice (husband, John) Farmer of Murrayville, nieces and nephews Trenton, Mykenzie, Elijah, and Lillian Thomas, one aunt, and one uncle. He was preceded in death by his father, Mike Smith, maternal grandmother Dorothy E. Davis and paternal grandfather William C. Smith. Andrew was a computer programmer for Cash Control Business Systems in St. Louis. He was a 2000 graduate of Jacksonville High School and attended Illinois College and ITT Technical Institute. He was involved in scouting, first as a cub scout and continuing into Boy Scouts. A gifted musician, Andrew loved playing the piano and saxophone, and was a fan of jazz music. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church in Jacksonville. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, February 19, 2010, at Williamson Funeral Home, with burial at Diamond Grove Cemetery. Friends may call after 1 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home, where the family will meet friends from 5 to 7 p.m., and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
