| Eva Irene Rutledge Painter, age 92 of White Hall, died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at the Scott County Nursing Center in Winchester. She was born January 27, 1918 in rural Roodhouse, the daughter of Lewellyn and Rose Marie Day Rutledge. She married Raymond Adrian Painter on December 2, 1940 in Louisiana, Missouri, and he preceded her in death August 19, 1999. She is survived by two daughters, Phyllis (husband Robert) Powell of Dixon, and Jane (husband Allen) Parent of Houghton Lake, MI., five sons, Gordon (wife Barbara Jo) Painter of Foristell, MO., Keith (wife Betty) Painter of Bremerton, WA., Paul (wife Donna) Painter of Harrison Township, MI., Terry (wife Diana) Painter of Port Orchard, WA., and Duane Painter of White Hall. There are twenty five grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren, and sisters, Edith Stoops of Augusta Me., Virginia Sipes of Patterson, Mary Ellen Glancy of Anacoco, LA., and a brother, Eugene Rutledge of Granite City. She was preceded in death by a son Floyd Dean Painter, a granddaughter Ginger Jo Painter, sisters Ina Mae Bell, and Eunilah Mean, and a brother Vivion Rutledge. Mrs. Painter was a homemaker and loved working in her yard, keeping the leaves raked and her sidewalks swept. She took pride in keeping her home clean and tidy. She enjoyed scrapbooking and her picture albums. She loved her family very much and treasured time spent with her children, grandchildren, brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at Souls Harbor Apostolic Church in Roodhouse, with burial in Pine Tree Cemetery at Patterson. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in White Hall. Memorials are suggested to Pine Tree Cemetery.
