| Morris Ray Curtright, 61, of Carrollton, went to be with the Lord on Saturday Feb. 20, 2010 at his home with his family by his side. Born in Eldred on Sept. 26, 1948, he was the son of the late Bert and Grace Lorton Curtright. He married the former Karen Kirbach on Nov. 12, 1993 in Carrollton and she survives. Also surviving are 3 daughters: Melanie (husband Ryan) Camden of Carrollton, April Curtright of Wood River, and Nichelle (husband Scott) McDaniels of Carlinville, 2 granddaughters: Jaelyn Camden of Carrollton and Caylee McDaniels of Carlinville, his mother-in-law: Eleanor Kirbach of Carrollton, a sister-in-law: Kathleen (husband Ed) Bain of Carrollton; 2 brothers-in-law: Joe (wife Suzie) Kirbach of Carrollton and Steve (wife Missy) Kirbach of Fieldon, a niece and 2 nephews: Jessie and Mitchell Kirbach and Ian Bain. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother William Franklin “Bud??? Curtright and his father-in-law: Clarence Kirbach. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church. He attended schools in Carrollton graduating from Carrollton High School. He served the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. He owned and operated Curtright’s Marathon Service Station in Carrollton for many years and later was employed as a union laborer. Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. on Wednesday Feb. 24 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Carrollton. Funeral mass will be celebrated at the church on Thursday Feb. 25 at 10 A.M. with burial to follow in St. John’s Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Boyd Memorial Hospital, Blessing Hospice of Greene County or for Masses. Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton is in charge of arrangements.
