| Mary Jones Cade, 93, of Brainerd, Minnesota, and formerly of Jacksonville, died Sunday, February 21, 2010, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Brainerd. She was born June 23, 1916, in Roodhouse, the daughter of Charles W. and Mary Giller Jones. She married Kenneth Cade in 1949 and he preceded her in death. She is survived by one daughter, Diana Dawdy Chesley of Jacksonville; one son, David Cade of The Woodlands, Texas; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and one nephew. Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death. While living in Jacksonville, Mrs. Cade oversaw the Red Cross/YMCA swimming lessons at Nichols Park for several years. She was a founding member of the Pony League Baseball program in Jacksonville. She moved to Minnesota in 1966 where she enjoyed her life on the lake. A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, February 26, 2010, at Fernwood Cemetery in Roodhouse. Family will meet friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Friday at the Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Memorials are suggested to Illinois College or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
