| Glenna M. Uram, age 69, of rural Nebo, Il. and formerly of Griggsville, Il. passed away Wednesday afternoon (February 24, 2010) at Illini Hospital in Pittsfield, Il. She was born on January 5, 1941 at her paternal grandparents home in rural Nebo daughter of the late Lafe and Faye Waggnor Ramsey. She married Frank Uram on May 4, 1963 at the Greek Orthodox Church in Des Plaines, Il. and he survives. Also surviving are seven brothers and sisters, Carolyn Crater and husband Don of Ashland, Il., Dick Ramsey and wife Billie of Nebo, Il., Jean Cowen and husband Tim of Camp Point, Il., Rick Ramsey of Springfield, Il., Rex Ramsey and wife Jeanna of Milton, Il., Joyce Dodson and husband Ed of Pittsfield, Il., and Randy Ramsey of Vandalia, Missouri; a special family member Judy Schlieper and husband Ed of Pearl, Il.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother Bob Ramsey; her father and mother-in-law Frank and Julia Uram; and a brother-in-law Jerry Oblock. Glenna was a 1959 graduate of East Pike High School in Milton, Il. and upon graduation, attended airline school in Kansas City. She accepted a position in Chicago working for Air Canada where she worked most of her career except for a brief period in transferring to New York. After she retired they moved back to Pike County, Il. to be closer to family. Glenna enjoyed her flower gardening each year and had beautiful gardens that she loved and tended each gardening season. She also enjoyed needle work and genealogy research. She was a member of the Pike County Color Drive helping to promote tourism for the county, as well as the Griggsville Historical Society and Ladies Home Extension. Visitation will be held from 6p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Pittsfield, Il. Burial will be in Oak Spring Cemetery in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania.
