| Mary Ann Bergschneider, 90, of Springfield, IL. passed away Wednesday evening March 3, 2010, at St. Josephs Home in Springfield. She was born on October 18, 1919 in Jacksonville to Theodore M. and Martha V. Gierschner. Mary was preceded in death by her brother Eugene Bergschneider. Miss Bergschneider graduated from Routt High School in 1937, and then volunteered as a nurse with the Red Cross. She attended Our Saviour School of Nursing for three years graduating in 1946, and then went on to work as a nurse at Norris Hospital in Jacksonville. Mary Ann liked to crochet, play cards, checkers, and dominoes. As a youth she was recognized for her accomplishments playing the violin. Mary was a member of the Church of Our Saviour where she was involved the Altar and Rosary Society. Graveside services will be held at 10:00am on Tuesday March 9, 2010 at Calvary cemetery.
