| Jackie Lee “J.B.” Burns, III, 23, of Arenzville, died Saturday, May 12, 2012, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. He was born May 14, 1988, in Peoria, the son of Jack L. and Mary Melton Burns. Jackie is survived by his father, Jack L. (wife, Patty) Burns of Meredosia; his mother, Mary Elizabeth Burns (partner, Lyn Donahue) of Meredosia; five sisters, Melissa Mae Burns of Arenzville, Patricia Elizabeth Dawn Burns of Springfield, Lori Lomelino of Woodson, April Dawn Lomelino of Jacksonville, and Shae Lyn Mikael Donahue of Meredosia, one brother, Jonathan Chute of Meredosia; paternal grandmother Millie Johnson of Creve Coeur, maternal grandmother Darlene Melton of Naples, and his girlfriend, Jamie Collins of Jerseyville. Jackie was a truck driver for Winkelman’s Trucking in Arenzville. He was a 2007 graduate of Meredosia High School and attended Spoon River College. He received his C.D.L. from Lincoln Land Community College. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheelers, and Harley-Davidson motorcycles. He loved telling jokes and stories, and pestering his niece, Abbigail. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Williamson Funeral Home. The family will meet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to his niece Abbigail’s Education Fund.
