| Coriene Jean Bowman, 75, of Beardstown died Sunday, May 27, 2012, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. She was born February 18, 1937 in Beardstown, the daughter of John and Maddie York Russell. She married Robert Lee Bowman in 1952 in Danville. Surviving is her husband Robert Bowman of Beardstown; two children Sherry Rust and Michael (wife Barbie) Bowman both of Beardstown; four grandchildren Sam and Jason Hicks and Ashley and Brandon Bowman; eight great grandchildren Alyxandria Dusenbery, Sammie, Jacob, Zack, Wendy, and Rebecca Hicks, Kenny Fryer, and Harley Taber; and one sister Mag Hankins of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her parents, twin sons in infancy Ronald and Donald Bowman, son Robert Lee Bowman Jr., and several brothers and sisters. Coriene attended Beardstown High School. She was previously employed with Mobil Chemical in Jacksonville and she enjoyed attending yard sales and flea markets and reading. Graveside funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, May 31, 2012 at Beardstown City Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Sager Funeral Home in Beardstown is in charge of arrangements.
