Ethel Eileen Ward, 90, of Roodhouse passed away Friday afternoon, June 29, 2012 at Passavant Area Hospital. She was born January 28, 1922 in Jacksonville the daughter of Lewis and Edith Lindsay Ward. She is survived by one brother, Ralph Ward of Jacksonville; two nephews, Gary (wife, Carolyn) Sherwin and Ron (wife, Alice) Sherwin both of Roodhouse; two nieces, Carolyn Sherwin of Roodhouse and Patty (husband, Joe) Morgan of Petersburg and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Louise Sherwin. Ms. Ward was a homemaker. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Jacksonville. She enjoyed her flower garden and her cats as well as taking long drives. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 2, 2012 at Williamson Funeral Home with burial at Diamond Grove Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 10-11 on Monday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Grace United Methodist Church. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.
