| Vancil E. Harbin, 75 , of Arenzville, died Friday, July 20, 2012, at Heritage Manor in Beardstown. He was born September 15, 1936, in rural Virginia, the son of Roy G. and Lorna Meyer Harbin. Mr. Harbin is survived by one sister, Dolores (husband, Jack) Miller of Beardstown, two brothers, Gilbert Harbin of Arenzville and Wendell (wife, Jeanette) Harbin of Beardstown, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kenneth Harbin. Mr. Harbin worked as a maintenance man at the Bowling Center in Jacksonville prior to retiring, and had previously worked as a custodian at Virginia High School. He was a longtime member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Arenzville. Vance enjoyed gardening, bowling, and mowing yards. He loved spending time with his family. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 23, 2012, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arenzville, with burial at Trinity Cemetery. The family will meet friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Williamson Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to Trinity Lutheran Church or Cass-Schuyler Area Hospice.
