Thomas W. Wilson, 77, of South Jacksonville passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 at Heritage Health in Jacksonville. He was born March 12, 1935 in Illiopolis the son of Alvin and Elizabeth Mayer Wilson. He married Alma Spangler on February 25, 1955 in Illiopolis and she preceded him in death on March 14, 2012. He is survived by two sons, Brian (wife, Teresa) Wilson of South Jacksonville and Richard Wilson of Bloomington; one daughter, Sabrina Moser of New York; 5 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Alvin (wife, Joan) Wilson of Springfield and Harry (wife, Beverly) Wilson of Greenview and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one grandchild; one great-grandchild and three brothers, Richard, Jim and John. Mr. Wilson had been employed as a machinist at Vega Enterprises in Niantic for many years. He was a devoted husband, having cared for his wife for many years. He enjoyed spending time with his family, reading westerns and working puzzles. The family will host a Celebration of Life for Mr. Wilson at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 18, 2012 at the Community Room at the Assembly of God in South Jacksonville. Memorials are suggested to the family for final expenses. Williamson Funeral Home in Jacksonville is in charge of the arrangements. Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com.

So sorry for the families loss and thoughts and prayers go out to each and every one of you! I have great memories of him teaching me how to put shingles on a roof and needless to say I had a few smashed fingers but was all good and had lots of fun at the Wilson's ! Never will be forgotten!
