| Carolyn E. Eldridge, age 69, of Waverly, Il. died early Wednesday (August 15, 2012) at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Il. She was born April 3, 1943 in Springfield, Il. daughter of the late Harvey Lewis and Eileen Daniels Zock. She married Maurice Wayne Busch in 1963 and he preceded her in death on February 22, 1981. She later married Don Eldridge on June 1, 1982 in Virden, Il. and he survives. Also surviving are five daughters, Christine Wilson and husband Keith of Springfield, Il., and Lynn Nagel and husband Joe, Teri Beaty , Dina Hartman, Karen Wallbaum and husband Mike all of Waverly, Il.; one son, Gary Busch and wife Sharon of Divernon, Il.; seventeen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Jody Pisani and husband Joe of Thayer, Il.; two brothers, Joe Zock and wife Cathy of Springfield, Il. and Chuck Lewis and wife Pat of Beaver Dam, Wisconsin; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband; one daughter, Wendi Eldridge; one great-granddaughter, Lilly Wilson. Carolyn was a graduate of Ursaline Academy in Springfield, Il. She was a past employee of John Deere Life Insurance Co. in Jacksonville, Il. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Waverly, Il. She was a Brownie and Girl Scout leader for many years and enjoyed bowling and league bowled in Chatham, Il. She loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting events. She also loved to sew and enjoyed traveling and camping. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday (August 18, 2012) at the Neece-Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Waverly, Il. Burial will be at Waverly East Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
